ScamWise 101 Privacy Policy
This policy describes the current free ScamWise 101 educational application published by Graxana Software Inc.
Information stored on your device
- Learning mode, lesson completion, quiz answers and results, attempts, activity dates, XP and badges.
- Your family safety plan, including names and contact methods, a family code word, payment rules and recovery notes you choose to enter.
- Recovery checklist checkmarks.
- Certificate learner name, local certificate ID, issue date and a snapshot of course results.
Optional practice responses and self-review checks remain only in the current screen and clear when you leave it. Do not enter passwords, PINs, account numbers or unnecessary personal details. People with access to your unlocked device may be able to view local app data.
PDFs and user-directed sharing
The app generates certificate PDFs locally. On Android, it may write a PDF to its certificate cache and open the system sharing chooser. You choose the receiving application or saved location. A shared family-plan summary includes trusted contacts, bank contact method and the payment-pause rule; it excludes the family code word and private recovery notes. On supported browsers the summary can be shared or copied to the clipboard.
Chosen recipient services receive the content you send and apply their own privacy practices. Exported files and clipboard copies are outside ScamWise's control. Cache files may remain until app storage is cleared or the operating system removes them.
External resources
Official reporting and cyber-safety links open external websites at your request. These sites may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, and have their own policies. The app does not submit incident reports on your behalf. ScamWise 101 is independent and is not affiliated with a government reporting service.
Retention and deletion
Progress, plans and certificate records remain locally until you reset the relevant information, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. The recovery checklist is separate from learning reset. To delete all local app data on Android, open Settings, Apps, ScamWise 101, Storage, then Clear storage; wording varies by device. For a browser version, clear the site's stored data in browser settings.
Delete exported PDFs and shared copies separately in their folders or receiving services. There is no ScamWise server account or remote profile to delete. Save any certificate you wish to keep before clearing app data or uninstalling. The Android app disables automatic cloud backup and device-transfer inclusion for its app data.
Audience and security
ScamWise 101 is intended for teens and adults learning practical scam-awareness habits. It does not create children's accounts or profiles. The application limits data transmission, but local storage is not represented as encrypted or as inaccessible to someone using the same device. Protect device access and any exported files.
Support and changes
If you email us, the information you choose to include leaves the app and is handled through the email services used by you and Graxana. Include only information needed for your question.
